lost in translation

Posted in Reviews by Administrator

Have you ever been in a nightmare situation recently, where you were in a video conference and your translator didn’t turn on?
What do you do in that situation? You will probably need someone who is able to deliver you a quality translation. You will be very blessed if by any chance you will find someone who is familiar with the most of the spoken languages at the video chat –which is a rare situation.
You may as an alternative hook your computer up into one of the many online translators, like Google translator, but, as you all know, despite efforts by online translator companies to make translators that deliver concise translation, more often than not, their translations turn up something that sounds bizarre and funny. So in order to have an accurate translation, you will need a translator who is proficient in at least two languages.
For example, to have a precise German translation of an English text you need a person who is fluent in both languages –otherwise you will be lost in translation.

Save one of the earth’s most precious resources: Clean water

Posted in Reviews by Administrator

About two billion people are living in water-stressed area in the world. One third of people in Africa are now suffering from lack of water and everyday die more people from water borne diseases caused by pathogenic microorganisms, which are directly transmitted when contaminated fresh water is consumed, than HIV or Malaria put together.

The fact is that we are running out of clean water. We pollute our surface water, pump out the ground water and taking water from wilderness into big cities where it is not returned to watershed but dumped into the ocean. In short, we are interrupting the hydrologic cycle and creating massive amount of dessert.

Save water. Turn off the faucet when you’re not rinsing and still brushing your teeth.

Convert your current toilet into water saving dual flush.

Drink Tab water.

Save water when you shower.

There wouldn’t be enough clean water for everyone unless we stop wasting and polluting it.
