Zappos.com is one of the most successful online companies. What Amazon did for books Zappos is doing for shoes. The name is an adaptation of Spanish word for shoe and this year, 10 years after going in the business, Zappos is on track to sell more than a billion dollar with their shoes.

Zappos is revolutionizing how it gets down to business. According to Tony Hsieh (CEO), company remains true to certain values. Many companies have core values, but it may ends up being something that is tacked on the wall and the employees learn them on day one and forget it the next day. But Zappos core values are committable core values. New employees should take five weeks of culture, core values, customer service and warehouse training.

These are Zappos core values:

3. Create fun and a little weirdness.

4. Be adventurous, creative and open-minded.

5. Pursue growth and learning.

6. Build open and honest relationships through communication.

By following these core values, they create a compassion brand, a commitment that they make to customers 24/7. They are not spending too much on marketing, but they create a remarkable customer experience instead such as, free shipping both ways, surprise upgrade, no call times, running 24/7… etc.

Zappos now is branching out to sell other items.They are listening to their customers and try out to find suggestions and maybe 30 years from now, Zappos airline will fly over our head in the blue sky.
