Can we slow down the aging process?

Over one hundred years ago, German psychiatrist Dr Alois Alzheimer reported a neurodegenerative dementia that we know now as Alzheimer’s disease. Dementia is the loss of intellectual function such as thinking, reasoning, planning and remembering to the extent of hampering the daily routines and performances of the individual.

Dementia is not a disease but rather an umbrella term covering a group of diseases which are accompanied by symptoms including loss of memory, loss of insight, mood and personality changes.
